This paper focuses on a typical large-scale commercial complex in the hot summer and warm winter zone of China as the research object, and conducts a two-month field measurement and data analysis of its high-efficiency cooling and air conditioning system. The experimental results show that the operational energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the chiller plant system reaches 5.42,with the comprehensive performance of coefficient (COP) of the chiller reaching 6.65 and the water system transport factor (WTF) all exceeding 60.The electricity cost and carbon emission intensity per unit of cooling capacity produced by the system are 0.135 yuan/kWh and 83.49 g/kWh,respectively,achieving a 35.4% energy-saving rate improvement compared with traditional refrigeration systems. The test data indicate that the system has the following technical defects: 1) The temperature difference at the ends of the chiller heat exchanger is relatively large; 2) The water system exhibits the characteristics of high flow rate and low temperature difference operation; 3) The water system transport factor is relatively high.Based on the above issues, this study proposes targeted optimization suggestions to provide technical support for further improving the operational energy efficiency of the cooling system.
